A small cohort by design

The founding cohort stays small on purpose, so every gate gets read by a real person and every family gets weekly time with the founder.

Direct time with the founder

Weekly group office hours and written feedback on every gate, not a support queue. That level of access does not scale past a founding cohort.

Founding families shape Studio

Studio is being built while you're in the program. What founding families ask for becomes part of what ships, starting with the parent view.

Later cohorts cost more

This price will not repeat. As Studio matures and the founder spends less one-on-one time per family, the price for later cohorts goes up from here.

The guarantee

Your teen's first business pays for Make First, or Make First pays you back.

If the business your teen builds in the program has not earned back the tuition in gross profit within 12 months of enrollment, we refund the tuition in full.

How it's measured

Gross profit: money in, minus what it cost to make and sell (cost of goods and ad spend). Time and reinvestment are not deducted.

Conditions

Pass every gate through Sell (First Idea, First Build, First User, First Dollar) inside the 12 months.
Log the work in Studio: the weekly update, the outreach tracker, and the P&L.
A parent or guardian is the account holder and signs the enrollment agreement.

What's excluded

Businesses started before enrollment.
Revenue from family members.
Leaving the program before the 12 months end.

Email us within 30 days after the 12-month window with your Scoreboard. We confirm the numbers with you and refund within 14 days.

Questions about pricing and the guarantee

What does "gross profit" mean in the guarantee?

Money in, minus what it cost to make and sell: cost of goods and ad spend. Time and any money your teen reinvests in the business are not deducted.

What happens after the 12 months?

The founding cohort price covers Studio, the Academy, office hours, and the guarantee window for 12 months. What comes after that (renewal, alumni access) will be announced before any founding cohort reaches it.

What tools cost extra?

Anything your teen chooses to use to build and run the business: a domain name, an app builder subscription, or payment processing fees. Founding cohort tuition covers Studio, the Academy, office hours, and community, not these pass-through costs.

How are gates reviewed?

Each gate requires specific evidence: a URL, named people, a payment, a P&L. The founder reviews the evidence and gives written feedback before a stage counts as passed.

How do we claim the guarantee if it applies?

Email us within 30 days after the 12-month window with your Scoreboard. We confirm the numbers with you and refund the founding cohort tuition in full within 14 days.
